Mana-mana

It all started with an innocent banana. I just wanted to throw out an example of how my day goes. My case in point isn't exactly what always happens, but something just as ridiculous.

I give Delia a banana.
Delia's banana breaks in half as she is holding it and it drops on the floor.
Mom picks it up. Gives it a good brush off and gives it back to her child.
Delia then continues enjoying her late afternoon snack as she waits for Dad to get home with the pizza.
Banana munching continues.
Eden and Delia yell to Mom for a drink.
I come in and pour the water.
I hand the cup to Delia.
Delia instantly drops her banana on the floor to get her drink.
Delia looks down at her banana on the floor. Exclaims "Uh-oh" and bends down to pick up the banana.
Delia spills her water all over the floor.
Mom gets a paper towel for the girls to clean up their mess.
The girls start to clean up the water.
Mom comes back into the kitchen a few minutes later to check the clean up progress.
There is more water on the floor and both girls are dancing in their puddles of water.
Oh the joys of silly little girls.

Porter-Pottie

Delia had her 18 month check up a week ago.... yeah we were a little late on the scheduling (like 3 months) but hey...... we were switching insurances. So, anyways the doctor asked if she was showing interest in pottie training yet, um.. yeah! I told him I can't keep her clothes on because she thinks she needs to try like 50xs a day. I was nipping it in the bud and putting onsies on her, because I'm pretty sure she (I'm) not ready to start. The medically certified caregiver told me I should applaude her interest and begin the war. So now Eden and Delia hang out in the bathroom for at least an hour each day. Aren't doctors wonderful. I'm pretty sure he laughed histaricly after he left our room having told me to start pottie training my 20 month old and thinking of the crazy days I would have ahead. Love it.

The Nacho

Hhmmmmm well I guess you all think I'm totally weird or else just my husband is totally weird because I was kidding about Lee's costume. I don't know if your husbands are better at dressing for the holiday but mine has yet to don a costume. :( I told him last year that I'd make an Elf costume but I think the green tights were a little too forward for him. Do your husbands dress up? If so please include pictures. If not, maybe you could throw over a few suggestions of something hilarious but not too naked for Lee to become. (ie. he wanted to be Nacho Libro but he has more of the build of Escileto than Nacho. Elf would be hilarious, but I don't know how I feel about green tights for his pants)

wood snow

One day this week I had some girls over and we got out the power tools and used our man skills:) We made some pictures frames (i'll post pictures once I have them finished) If you are an obsessive shopper for your home you may know the ones. They are like 8inches wide and plain flat wood. I'm painting them for the girls

room....anywho so the next morning, of course I hadn't picked up all the mess from the day before, Eden goes outside straight away and starts getting into all the stuff. I'm watching her out the back window as I work on the computer. Then she comes in and asks for some water and I ask her what its for and she said her "wood snow"
So cute! Just a little tid-bit bout whats crackin at the porterhouse
